Internet Computer Store
You see, even if the internet computer store charges you the same price as your local computer dealer, you still have to pay shipping which means it ends up costing more. Online auctions are the same way, if the cost plus shipping equals more, then you aren't saving anything! Choosing the Right StoreFinding a good internet computer store will not happen over night, but after a few online transactions, you will start to get the idea of which ones rock, and which ones suck.Traffic Ranking & Reviews In my opinion, you should always go to Alexa.com and read the reviews and traffic rating of any online store, computer or not, that you plan to buy from. The traffic ranking system works like this, number one is the most visited website on the net, number 2 is the second, and so on and so forth. I know what your thinking, how does that tell you anything? Who cares if a lot of people visit the site! Well it does matter, because a popular site usually means a good site, which means they have good service and prices because people keep coming back to it. This is not always true of course, but for the most part it is. Another great feature that Alexa provides is reviews of the website, but not every site is reviewed so it sometimes is not the best choice. If you want really good business site reviews, from consumers and professionals alike, then a great business rating directory will provide you with this information. Prices & Deals It seems that just about every online computer store has a deal everyday, and sometimes they are incredible, and other times they just plain aren't. When finding and buying great deals at an online store, you need to watch out for hidden fees, rebates details and more. Most of the time deals are just rebates, which mean's you pay full price. But when you get the product, you send in a filled out form and they send you back the money that you should have saved. This is usually a good deal still, but the only problem is that sometimes you don't get your money. I know that sounds illegal, but the fact of the matter is, if you fill out the form wrong or illegibly, they can deny you the refund. If you do have to send in a rebate, just remember to print all your information clearly on the form and the letter itself. Also, always make sure you have enough postage!
